Description: Not to be confused with purple loosestrife. Rose spirea stems are round, leaves are alternate, oval to oblong, on short petioles, with toothed margins from the midpoint to the tip, and whitish on the lower surface; 5-petaled, rose-pink flowers occur in a dense panicle, 5-15 cm long.
