Description: This small, black weevil is a common associate of pine bark beetles. It is found under the bark in large numbers at about the time the bark-beetle brood matures. Taken using an Auto-Montage digital microscopy system.© 2002, 2003 by the University of Florida and may be freely used for educational purposes as long as credit is given to the University of Florida and, if space permits, the photographer.
