Descriptor: Structure
Description: Mapped 2.47 acre (1 ha) 65-year-old stand after shelterwood seed cut. 176 stems (71/A) were located and crown area mapped using a survey laser. Basal area is 75 square feet per acre dominated by yellow-poplar (yellow). Other species include: red maple (red), oaks (brown) and other hardwoods (blue). All understory trees 4-8" dbh were removed, which eliminated most of the red maple.
