Description: 2.47 acre (1 ha) 65-year-old stand, after 30 cm (12") diameter-limit (dbh) harvest (non-silvicultural harvesting practice common in the region). Basal area is 36 square feet per acre dominated by yellow-poplar and oaks. Red maple, and other hardwoods have the highest densities (trees/acre).
