Descriptor: Adult(s)
Description: Body compact, 7.5-9.5mm long, black, greyish or covered with yellowish scales; pronotum subparallel sided in basal one-third only; elytra with interstices 3,5 and 7 strongly carinate, indistinct oblique pale humeral stripe, elongate (6:4), gradually declivous behind. Similar to S. fridigus in which the pronotum is parallel sided in basal half, elytra shorter (5:4), strongly declivous behind, profemora slender, not clavate; Australia: Thursday Island, Torres Strait collected 4 Nov 2004 by M.
