Descriptor: Galleries
Description: Galleries that belong either to the Redheaded Ash Borer (Neoclytus acuminatus (F.)) or to the Banded Ash Borer (Neoclytus capera (Say)). Taken them on 12 Sept. 2003 at Asbury Park, Erie, Erie Co., PA. The host tree was a dead, standing white ash, about 20 ft. in height. The galleries were confined to the bottom few feet of the trunk.
